Sub-series consists primarily of correspondence between the ARS and the MSNS in regard to the establishment of physiotherapy treatment centres and other jrelated matters. Also includes general reports of the ARS and handbooks on arthritis.

Series consists of 19 sub-series concerning various medically-related organizations and societies that were affiliated with the MSNS in some manner. Arranged alphabetically by sub-series title.

Series consists of two sub-series: Working Files, 1925-1973; and Research and Teaching Files, 1927-1969. These files were accumulated by Dr. Beckwith while serving as Executive Secretary and consultant to the MSNS. Because of his long service with the MSNS, the Research and Teaching Files became intermingled with the Society's files.

Series consists of 15 sub-series. Includes correspondence between the Branch secretaries and the MSNS's executive secretaries regarding schedules of meetings, membership dues, committee nominations, meeting updates, and medical issues, as well as minutes of meetings, membership lists, constitutions and by-laws, minute books and other records. Although not complete these records reflect the close interaction between the MSNS and Branch Societies, and some of the concerns and interests of the local societies.

Sub-series consists of material that reflects the various activities of the CMA in the health and medical field, its interest in special concerns of the MSNS, as well as the response of the MSNS to its divisional responsibilities and to CMA initiatives. Includes notices and correspondence relating to meetings and conferences, minutes of meetings, information on CMA educational courses, and various reports, briefs, and submissions generated by CMA, the MSNS, other Divisions, governments, and organizations concerning health and medical issues. Also includes other material such as press clippings, copies of the CMA Journal, pamphlets, and an index of some executive committee meetings.

Subseries consists of reports (original and photocopies), and extracts from minutes of meetings relating to the hospital situation and construction of a. city hospital in Halifax.

Sub-series consists of material accumulated by the MSNS largely as a result of an exchange of ideas and information related to medical and health issues with the national (and some provincial) colleges of physicians and surgeons. Includes correspondence, schedule of fees, newsletters and other related material.
