Scope and content
Series forms part of the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women fonds and contains records of Women Unlimited, a program to promote the full participation of women in trades and technology. The program works with industry, governments, educational institutions and communities to address systemic barriers that limit the participation of diverse women in these fields. NSACSW formed part of the initial working committee to establish the program, along with Women's Economic Equality (WEE) Society, the Hypatia Association, Service Canada, Nova Scotia Community Colleges, Department of Education, Department of Community Services and the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Board.
Series includes correspondence, minutes, discussion papers, reports, and outreach material documenting the Advisory Council’s participation in the initial working committee and pilot project, and in the continuing Women Unlimited Program.
