History
The Medical Care Insurance Advisory Commission was appointed in 1966 as a result of the Rowe Committee's report. Its mandate was to investigate all aspects of administration of medical care insurance plans in Canada, and to provide for and operate a plan for residents of Nova Scotia related to a federal plan. The MSNS had appointments to the Commission, and its Physicians' Insurance Committee was directly involved in a joint committee.
