Forms part of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia and consists of events coverage produced by the Sound and Moving Image Division (SMI). Includes audio reel and cassette recordings, as well as videocassette recordings. Audio reels and cassette recordings record addresses, proceedings of ceremonies and conferences, interviews, workshops, and the official opening of the Public Archives of Nova Scotia. Videocassettes contain CBC television specials recorded by archives staff. While some recordings are originals, others are masters or copies.
