Consists of a representative sample of photographic files produced by the Crosby studio as well as selected samples of Crosby's work as a free-lance photographer in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1990s. The bulk of the studio's production consisted of portraits, passport snapshots, wedding photos, advertising copy work, industrial and construction site progress shots, aerial views of urban areas for developers, copy prints of architectural drawings and sketches, theatre and television publicity shots, and photos of notable buildings and street scapes. The files include negatives, copy prints, photographs and transparencies. They depict important contemporary persons and events, such as the famous 1943 Churchill photograph, aerial views of downtown Halifax and Dartmouth in the 1960s when rapid changes in urban development commenced, the early days of CBC Halifax television productions (e.g. Don Messer, Singalong Jubilee), the peak of industrial activity at Halifax Shipyards and Trenton Steel Works, the expanding fishing industry, the construction of the Sedco Oil Rig for Sable Island, 1969-1971, the assembly of Volvo automobiles in its Dartmouth plant, and the reactions of victims' families during the Springhill Mine Disaster of 1958.

As clerk of the works Creed was required to visit sites under the responsibility of the Royal Engineers. Some of his letter-books and journals include his trips to western parts of Hants County including Rawdon and Windsor. These records also include his opinions and activities relating to various religious denominations, particularly the Baptist church, and his continuing education through weekly attendance at Mechanics Institute lectures.

Consists of several letters and other items accumulated by Jotham McCully as secretary of the Oak Island Association during its attempts to locate treasure on Oak Island from 1862 to 1863. The letters are all written to McCully from engineers and officials at the money pit site, describing problems encountered during the drilling, and also from several shareholders describing potential financial problems. Also includes documents concerning an Oak Island Association meeting in Truro in 1864, and plans and a report from engineers on how to stop the flooding of water in the money pit in 1867.

Fonds consists of records documenting Avramovitch's private life and architectural career. His personal papers include a few reminiscences of World War II, correspondence with friends and family, 1940s-1950s (written mostly in French, German, Italian and Serb), correspondence with Canadian government officials regarding his emigration to Canada, and various notes, drafts and typed booklets of poetry he produced from 1979-1995. The records relating to his architectural career are not business records as such but materials accumulated for personal reasons. They include academic papers written as a student, architectural drawings and plans from his early career in Europe and Montreal, and his Halifax firm, 1950s- 1980s. In addition there are reminiscences and notes about his career as an architect and files regarding some of his major projects in Halifax. Most of the latter contain photographs of buildings and sites, sketches, drawings and plans, architect's notes, clippings and similar material. Many files include handwritten explanatory and contextual notes inserted after his death by his widow, Francene Cosman Avramovitch.
