Consists of one handwritten letter written by Private Joseph Settle, while stationed at the Halifax Armouries, to Mr. F. Frankum, Montreal, on December 21, 1917. The letter provides a firsthand account of the Halifax Explosion and its aftermath.

Item is a handwritten and illustrated memoir by Simone Stehelin, describing her experiences of travelling from France to Nova Scotia in 1895 at the age of ten and settling in her new home in the woods outside Weymouth where she lived with her parents, 7 brothers and 4 sisters until 1910. The memoir is in French and includes 2 printed and hand-coloured maps of the area as well as 35 pen and ink drawings, some in colour. The memoir was written in 1962 in Paris, France.

Forms part of E. Marguerite Letson and consists of one photograph album of prints depicting buildings, houses, and properties in the village of Port Medway, Queen's County, Nova Scotia. The album was assembled by Miss E.M. Letson, a lifelong resident of Port Medway. Each photograph has a caption containing name of place depicted, ownership history, and some include genealogical information. Most photographs are exterior shots and can include outbuildings, barns, streetscapes, and landscapes; and one is of the interior of the Anglican "Church of the Holy Redeemer".

Item is a hand-written version of music with lyrics in E major of Psalm 67 that Andrew MacKay used as a teaching aid in his “Singing Schools.” The item was written on wallpaper with a rose patten with metallic traces that was produced by the Watson, Foster Company between 1897 and 1927. There is some tearing of this item.

Item is a hand-written version in 4/4 time of music and lyrics of the hymn “Christ is mine, my own heart knows it” created in 1915 by Jessie H. Brown Pounds (1861-1921). The creator of the wallpaper is not known but it features a red, green and brown pattern. There is some folding and tearing of this item and the single piece that has broken off has been placed in an acid-free envelope.
