Series forms part of Nova Scotia Water Authority fonds and consists of case files for applications under the Water Act. Individual files may contain applications for the use of water, maps and technical drawings outlining the water source and its intended use, correspondence with the Power Commission, and documentation related to the Orders-in-Council approving such applications. Although the files relate to applications made prior to 1973 they may contain some more recent materials. The final volume of the series contains monthly reports summarizing the status of applications.

Series forms part of Nova Scotia Water Authority fonds and consists of minute books of the Authority covering the period 1963 to 1973. The minute books record the administration of the Authority as well as its actions in relation to applications under the Water Act. The minutes also contain some appended documents such as reports on various topics related to water or waste water management.
